Based in Middle Island, New York, Cub Scout Pack 625 is made up primarily of boys in Grades 1-5 that attend West Middle Island Elementary, although we do have boys that attend other schools and even live in other towns in some cases.  We are part of the Benjamin Talmadge District, Suffolk County Council, Boy Scouts of America.

We are completely parent-run, all activities of the pack are run by the families with the support of the Boy Scouts of America, and the Middle Island Fire Department who are our “chartering” entity (they “sponsor” us).  We are very much a “family” pack in that we encourage (and expect) involvement of parents as active partners.  We also encourage siblings to join us and participate whenever possible - our Pack is a family -- made of families.

Did you know that as of June 1st your Kindergartner is eligble to join Cub Scout Pack 625?

A flyer will be going home to all West Middle Island students.

Have questions?  Not comfortable just showing up?  No worries! Send us an email and we'll be more than happy to answer any questions you have!  info@cubpack625.org

The end of the School Year doesn't mean the end of scouting!  We have exciting events scheduled for this summer.

A little about us...

- Our overall organization is known as a “Pack”.
- Currently we have roughly 40 active boys ranging from 1st Grade to 5th Grade.
- The Pack is overseen by a Cubmaster and a Committee of Parents.
- Each Den is led by one or more adult parent leaders.

- Pack meets monthly for a meeting and activities
- Generally pack nights are the 3rd Friday of each month at 7PM - Middle Island Firehouse
- Dens meet regularly as well, often on a schedule agreed to by the parents in those individual dens.
- Den Meetings are usually held in various rooms at West Middle Island Elementary.
- We try to do a combination of at least 4 meetings/events per month, but will vary based on the age.
- Everything we do is tied back to the Cub Scout program.
- The boys work towards earning badges and awards that signify their involvement in a variety of areas.
- We say involvement because we want every boy to feel like they have accomplished something, regardless of their individual level of achievement.  We want Cub Scouts to be fun for all the boys.
